Bristol City Council commissioned a spectacular stunt show to launch the new M Shed museum on Bristol's historic docks. Designed to be watched from many viewpoints around the harbour, from the queuing crowd outside the museum to those on the other side of the water, it was crucial that the show not only created interesting moments close up, but drama and visual impact from a distance.
We designed and built a 10 metre metal 'M' structure which we used as a platform for the performance, taking the performers 30 metres high above the water, and culminating in a spectacular dive off the top by our trained stunt artist. We also utilised the cranes for rigging the dramatic aerial performance. The spurting Pyronaut sailed our singer along the harbour to serenade the audience and performers with a song written specially for the event.
