Historic Royal Palaces have invited us to programme their brand new family festival at Hampton Court Palace from 24th – 26th May. It’s a celebration of serious nonsense, and we’ve had the best time hand-selecting only the silliest, funniest and most entertaining of artists for it.
What to Expect
At The Big Bahooey you can try juggling, plate spinning, wire walking and more in the circus workshops. Slap on some headphones and dance yourself silly at the silent disco. Belt out a tune at the singalongs. Cheer the acrobats and jugglers. Be wowed by a circus or music show. Get crafty at the Boxville cardboard workshop. Gaze in awe at the stilt walkers. Be captivated by the mesmerising street theatre. Snap a selfie with the cool creatures wandering Hampton Court Palace Gardens.
Hampton Court Palace is an absolutely stunning historic venue and the gardens are breathtaking. It will be such a beautiful backdrop for all of the crazy antics we have in store.
The Performers
We have some fantastic and eclectic live music from Mrs H & The Singalong Band, Fraser Hooper and Brixton Chamber Orchestra.
We are also bringing some of the most spectacularly silly circus performers and interactive characters with us to keep you entertained all day long. Prepare to be dazzled by the likes of Farmyard Circus, TrashCat and many more. You have to see it to believe the Human Hedges from Theatre Illuminere and discover the magical Heliosphere as it swoops right over your head.
