Following the success of Camp Bestival Shropshire last year we are thrilled to return to Weston Woods once again and with an even bigger programme.

As is traditional, we will be animating Pete Bateman’s infamous Caravanserai with our Circus Cafe and Aerial Shows. This year we will also be bringing a host of wonderful street theatre shows to the space, as well as creating an epic finale for the Sunday night, and much more besides…

Silent Forest

The Silent Forest circus returns to Shropshire!

We are delighted to bring Silent Forest back to Camp Bestival with their touching and very beautiful show about the decreasing numbers of Asian songbirds. The eponymously named Silent Forest stage will this year also feature performances by Darryl Carrington and Gracie Hill.

Princess and the Chickpea

New for this year, we are also programming Princess and the Chickpea (Cirque Bijou and Nutkhut‘s latest collaboration).

This reimagining of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic fairytale transports you back to 16th century India and modern day South East London.

The show features puppetry, Kathak and live music, and will be sharing a performance space with Circus Raj. With the area decked out with Indian-inspired parasols, get ready for a little sprinkling of India in the Shropshire fields…

Lantern Parade

If the above wasn’t enough, the festival will culminate on Sunday evening with an illuminated lantern parade across the festival.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to create lanterns throughout the weekend. These will then be used during the parade. We will have a storyteller on site telling tales of the woodlands and all the creatures (real and mythical, past and present) that reside there.

The parade will be joined by both professional and emerging artists including the beautiful Ghost Caribou and many more besides.

Get your tickets to the festival here and come join us!
