We are very excited to announce the latest project by Extraordinary Bodies – P.S. Feel Free.

How does it feel to be confined or stuck in one place? How does that change when you are given room to breathe? Take up space!

About the Project

P.S. Feel Free is a joyous short film celebrating the unique movement and physicality of a wonderful bunch of artists from Extraordinary Bodies’ 12 year journey so far.

Inspired by the music video to Gabriel’s Love and Hate in a Different Time, we are inviting the artists to submit a 1 min movement piece, exploring the themes of restriction, freedom and transformation.

These will then be brought together by talented filmmaker Steven Lake. Steven worked with us back on Human – creating the beautiful film that accompanied the live performance. He is also currently working on another exciting ExBods project – Earth, Wheels, Air.

The project also welcomes back Ted Barnes and John Kelly, who are composing a brand new track for the project. These talented musicians are again long-time collaborators with us, having previously worked with us on shows including: Weighting, What Am I Worth? and Human.

Nandi Bhebhe is our movement director. We have been in awe of Nandi since she first worked with us on the Camp Bestival finale show in 2022. For this project, she created a choreography brief for the cast to respond to with their own devised movement.

The film will have captions and BSL, with a creative audio description designed by Sophia Knox Miller.

Coming in autumn/ winter 2024, watch this space to find out where you can watch P.S. Feel Free.
