On Saturday 18th July at 12.00 (GMT) we will be bringing you a premier streaming of our outdoor spectacle Balance of the Cosmos. Join us and tune in on the Cirque Bijou Facebook page. There will also be opportunities to talk with the creative team and artists behind the show in the comments section, a chance to ask them any of your questions about the performance, our time in Taiwan, or Cirque Bijou in general.
The show was originally created for the Taiwan Lantern Festival held in the City of Taichung in February 2020, and was attended by over 160,000 audience members across 16 shows.
It featured over 80 artists and was a true multi-cultural collaboration, celebrating artistry from the UK, France, USA and Taiwan. It told a simple story of the need to balance our desire to live interesting and exciting lives with our respect for the environment.
Want to know more about how we create large scale international shows? Then watch the making of the show documentary on Vimeo.
We can’t wait to share it with you in full, so please do join us on Saturday 18th at 12.00! If you aren’t able to join us live, the video will still be able to watch on our Facebook page after this. See you there!
The screening is part of a special day of live-streaming highlighting some of the UK’s most exciting dance and circus artists with premiere streams excerpts from shows and specially curated short performances to celebrate what would have been Bristol Harbour Festival. We have teamed up with Co-Curators of stages at the annual Festival, Trinity, and will be sharing highlights over on our socials. Get involved on the day by tuning in and sharing your best memories of #Harbour Festival.
